There's a place outside of time and space. It's a place with no exits, that refuses to obey the laws of the real world. It's spun from memories and madness and the constant presence of the man inside. It's an oracle's sanctum where the present, past and future mean the same, rendered on canvas in paint and blood.

There's an answer for everyone except the man who gives them. Welcome to the Forever Studio.

Then
Isaac was nobody important. A painter and comic creator, he was disowned by his family and found his way in the city of New York, determined to carve a place for himself. He drifted through college, drowning in his own mercurial and unhealthy mood swings. Self medication led him to a downward spiral of drug addiction, abuse and rehab that he never seemed to be able to break free from.

He started to paint nightmares of the future. As he lost himself in the horrors of his visions, he lost his sight and his world undid. When death walked through his door for him, he laughed in his face and accepted the inevitable.

Now
Death was not the end. Isaac awoke in his studio. The exit never led out. The fire escape took him only to a darkened, haunted area filled with his paintings and drawings. Food was stored in his fridge, paints and canvases left.

And the visions got worse. The trances swept him away and left behind things he could not change and could not stop. Denied of his drugs, he was forced to learn to survive his own mind by himself, until there was less the man called Isaac, and more a distant prophet painting answers that he could not share.

And then someone gave him a computer.
